IAEA, ElBaradei Win Nobel Peace Prize
OSLO, Norway — Mohamed ElBaradei and the International Atomic Energy Agency won the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for their drive to curb the spread of atomic weapons by using diplomacy to resolve standoffs with Iran and North Korea over their nuclear programs.
What resolution? The IAEA's strategy is to talk louder so the diplomats can be heard over the construction noises coming from Korea and Iran's expanding nuclear facilities. There is not a bigger farce than the Nobel Peace Prize.

Perhaps Sen Dayton's new dept will be in the running next time. Doggonit, be nice to your neighbor, even if they hooked up with 2 buddies to devise a bomb plot for the NY subway system. They just need a good talking to and perhaps, a timeout.
No greater farce than the Nobel? I would nominate just a few: the Kyoto Protocol, the International Criminal Court, the 9-11 Commission. Of course all of these are cut from the same cloth. Seems to me that we should donate this cloth to a dumpster where it belongs.
